Our second daughter is born!

Beth MacDonald was born at the Moncton Hospital on October 2nd, 2008 at 10:35 pm, weighing 8 pounds, 9 ounces.  Sheena spent a couple of days in prelabour and was 12 days overdue, but once she was induced, things went fairly quickly.   Throughout our stay, we were impressed with the care provided by the staff of the hospital.  Maternity nurses are a godsend!

Abigail had her homecoming today and met her older sister Rebecca for the first time.  Rebecca was excited to see her sister, and we watched in surprise as she tried to pick up Abigail from her car seat by the feet.  Rebecca soon realized that her sister was a living thing and stepped back in amazement.  She now stares intently at Abigail and touches her gently (thanks to all the trial and error with the cat).Dsc01196  Dsc01197

Thanks to everyone for all the congratulations, we’ll keep posting pictures from the next few days.

  1. I love how Rebecca still has her precious markers in her hands while she meets her sister! It was a great time hanging out with Rebecca last week, I enjoyed colouring with her, collecting rocks and even changing her diapers! hehe. Looking forward to seeing the 4 MacDonald’s of NB again,
    Love ya! 🙂
