Sheena’s walking for Breast Cancer

"We do the walk; We do the walk of life" Mockingbird_hill_lookout_020

Well, Dave shaved his head last year, this year I’m walking for breast cancer!  The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a two-day,
60-kilometre walk through the neighbourhoods of Calgary, taking place
July 28-30, 2006. Proceeds benefit the Alberta Cancer Foundation, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.

I joined this cause to make a difference one step at a time. This is a
long journey for modern medicine and so it is only fitting that it be a
long journey for the modern walking shoe…I hope my runners are ready for

My reasons are simple: Tomorrows’ daughters’ should never have to know
what breast cancer is or feel what it is like to lose those closest to
you to such a terrible disease.

My only wish is that the people of today never give up hope that a cure
will be found  and that it will be found through people like you and me.

If you would like to sponsor me, check out my official Walk for Breast Cancer site and follow the page.  You can also email me at and let me know of your plans. Thanks in advance for your support!
